Reta Eisen (born Reta Alta Laufman) passed away peacefully with her family at her side on the evening of April 27, 2026. Born in Toronto on August 26, 1932, to Abraham and Breindel “Bruncha” Laufman, Reta was the beloved wife of the late Sidney Eisen.

She is survived by her children Ira (Michal), Eli (Shunying), and Bayla (Richard), from her marriage to her first husband, Leon Blevis. Reta and Sidney’s blended family also includes Sidney’s children: Carol (Henzel), Judy (the late Jimmy), and Rochelle (Ulf).

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Racheli (Arieh), Maayan (Yuval), Abe (Brig), Hana (Evan), and Benjamin; her great-grandchild Yishai; and Sidney’s grandchildren David (Emilia), Daniel, Simona (Lonie), Shulamit (Yakov), and Joshua (Aviva), along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her cousin Sherri, and her loving caregivers, Joy, Melany, and Michele. The family thanks the many wonderful staff at Hennick Humber Hospital, especially Reta’s nephew Dov.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 12:00 Noon.
