In Loving Memory of Sandra Shuman

Sandra Shuman passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 101, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, wisdom, and kindness that touched countless lives.

Sandra was reunited with her beloved husband, Abb, and her cherished son, Les. She was a devoted mother to Connie Burstein and Les Banks, and a loving Bubby to Brett and Holly, Cory and Jen, and Samantha and Richard Morris. She was also a beloved sister and sister-in-law to Myna and Max Lazer.

Sandra was a proud and adoring great-grandmother to Dylan, Aria, Valerie, Mackenzie, and Tori, who brought her much joy.

She was much more than an aunt; she was a second mother and Bubby to her extended family. She held a special place in the hearts of Fern and Bill Dolman, Carole Lazer, Marlyne and the late Mel Lazer, Joy and the late Larry Shuman and family, and Barbara and Noel Best and family. For many years, she was like a beloved Bubby to her grand-nieces and nephews: Tracy, Erin, Andrew and Erin Lazer, Lindsay Dolman and Jeff Hoffer, Jodi and Adam Skolnik, and Amanda and Jonathan Rosenberg. She took great joy in the lives of her great-grand-nieces and nephews, Myla and Joey Lazer, Cassidy and Paige Skolnik, and Harrison and Brooks Rosenberg.

Sandra was loved by so many and will be remembered for her sharp mind, intelligence, and wonderful sense of humour. She possessed a rare combination of business savvy and warmth, approaching life with both determination and compassion. Smart, kind, loving, sweet, and endlessly caring, Sandra made everyone around her feel valued and welcomed.

Whether sharing a laugh, offering thoughtful advice, or simply spending time with family and friends, Sandra’s presence brought comfort and happiness to those fortunate enough to know her. Her strength of character, generosity of spirit, and unwavering love for her family will continue to inspire future generations.
