Howard Lorne Katzman, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Howard was a man who wore many hats, and many colourful glasses, Howard invented his own rules, and lived by his own motto “stay cool and groovy”. He shared that belief with all those he touched.
Travel was one of Howard’s greatest passions, and he instilled that love of adventure in his children. Together, they explored the world, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. Whether it was a spontaneous road trip or a meticulously planned vacation, Howard made every journey an unforgettable experience.
An accomplished cook, Howard found immense satisfaction in preparing meals for family and friends. He took great joy in the smiles and compliments of those who enjoyed his culinary creations. For Howard, the consummate restaurateur, you weren’t a patron, you were his guest.
