Message of Condolence

Jeremy lived around the corner from me and our mothers were friendly. He took a liking to me and would regularly visit our home, often entering unannounced. His visits were usually short but my entire family enjoyed his company. He was warm and interesting and smart. He taught me the importance of accepting those who were different than me and seeing what they could offer. These visits continued for many years until I moved to another city for university. Interestingly he seemed to know when I was home for a weekend and would come to visit. Although I lost touch with Jeremy I often got updates about him through my mother. RIP Jeremy.

Rebick Family, I met Jeremy many years ago at FHCI. He was a grade ahead of me. I often stopped to talk to him. And I always got the biggest smile out of him. He sure got a tough deal in life, but always seemed to make the best of it, never giving up. He helped me learn patience and understanding. Something I will take as I start being a respite provider in the next few months. I admired his perseverance and his intelligence. Ironically, I was just thinking about him this last week. Remembering how he needed to take his tests in a separate classroom because he spoke the answers out loud. AND, they were always right. He was very smart. It may be many years since either of us left high school, but please know I have thought about him many times over the years and as I mentioned earlier - as recently as last week. Thanking Jeremy for teaching many of us some very important life lessons. My your memories bring you comfort.
