Passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025. Beloved husband of Lillian. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Karen, Ron and Shirley, Linda and Mark, Frank and Karen, and Maureen. Cherished grandfather of David (Shannon), Adam (Amy), Erin (Mike), Lori (Don), Rachel (Gerard), Aaron (Amanda), Sarah (Yosh), Josh (Emily), Daniel, Michael (Alex), Adina, Davida (Dave), Tovi (Yonaton), and Shira (Jacob). Proud great-grandfather of Ruby, Oliver, Stella, Isabelle, Miles, Layla, Sam, Hazel, Aidan, Fabi, Oceane, James, Hudson, Teddy, Joey, and Raya. Survived by his brother Morris. He will be sadly missed and remembered by all his family and many friends.

After not seeing Max since the’80s at the Adath Israel Congregation, my brother Josh spotted him during the Shabbat Kiddish luncheon at Beth David a few months back. We sat together and chatted. Our father Ruben, z”l, told us back in the ‘80s that Max was a great athlete; if memory serves me correctly, his specialty was weightlifting.🏋️‍♂️ תנצב״ה

His artistry--paintings-Leading morning service at Beth David, and then leading Friday Night Services at Sunrise Retirement Home. and the important Yom Tov Services. How lucky we were to have him. I enjoyed having discussions with him about his children and where they lived.-- A quiet story-teller. He was interesting , and made our Services the same. (We also fondly remember seeing a video of Max blowing the shofar at Beth David used as an illustration for Rosh Hashanah in a Boston newspaper online.) Sincere condolences to his family. He always set high standards and goals for himself, even in the latter part of his life, and I found him to be such an inspiration. and a real pioneer for Jewish values and our love of Israel.
