With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elie Moyal.

Beloved partner of Mary June. A devoted father to Miranda (Bryan) and Nicole, and a proud and loving grandfather to Natalie (Eric) and Dylan (Ileana). He is survived by his loving brother Ralph (Janice) and Hugette, and he will be fondly remembered by his niece Yvonne (Bruce), and many other extended family members and friends.

Elie was known for his gentle nature, strong faith, creative talent, intellectual curiosity, and deep love for family. His kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Our hearts are grieving for the passing of Elie. We mostly knew him through his daughter, Miranda, who is our daughter in-law, our son Bryan and his grandchildren, Natalie and Dylan. We also had the joy of spending sometime with Eli, when he visited in Southern California. He was a gentle, loving man, who remained in close relationship with Miranda, and his grandchildren. He would call them often always remembering their birthdays. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and loved him. We pray for peace and the comfort God of the whole family.

This message is from my brother Maxim Azoulay who resides in Israel. “Eli Moyal, may his memory be blessed. He was truly a special friend and a special Jew. I had the privilege of knowing him. He loved to help everyone and it is truly difficult for me to digest that he is no longer with us. With God's help, I say the Kaddish and Mishnayot all year long for the sake of his soul. For a long time in Canada, he was my guide and helped me a lot. I will never forget him. He is a great loss for me. May his soul be wrapped in the bundle of life.”

Elie z”l was a friend of our family for decades. Particularly with my brother, Maxim Azoulay who resides in Israel. Elie z”l was exactly as described in his eulogy, a gentle and a positive soul in spite of hardships. He will always be remembered…

Nicole Moyal

I received the sudden, sad news of my father's passing while in Europe. I wish to thank my family for all their help and support. It is so deeply appreciated. My heartfelt condolences to all my family. My father was as they say a " One in a million". His strong love for family was unsurpassed. He was a deeply kind and sensitive man and a true artist. Constantly drawing and painting...since a child. He instilled in me a love for the arts. He was deeply interested in spirituality. He never lost his faith in G-d his whole life. I will miss and love you forever, dad. Here is a poem I wrote when I received the phone call of his death: News in Marseilles Mon pere est mort and I am in France. I am in the land of croissants and cafe au laits, but my heart is in Canada. My father is dead. The sun may shine here and the plants are tropical, but my heart is in the land of snow. Nicole Moyal
