Passed away peacefully on the morning of June 14, surrounded by his family. Beloved father of Sean & Shawnie and Zaidy to Jonah & Lexie, and Callie. Son of the late Nelson & Gwen (Queenie) Routbard and brother to the late Natalie Wexler. Bob lived a very colourful life, coming to Toronto from Montreal in the late 1950’s. He wore many hats in his business life, working with his father selling ladies’ wear in Eastern Canada, a private detective, running Funland Arcades in the 1970’s, owning Mr. Transmission shops in the 1980’s, and later importing goods until his retirement. Bob was exceptionally handy and could fix almost anything. He loved electronics, could build his own radios and was a lifelong HAM radio operator with the call letters VE3 IPI. Through amateur radio, he developed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He will be missed.
